Folks have heard that on Saturday the Twenty Third of August 2014 and you'll be able to enjoy going on a guided tour of Moody Park in Claremont, New Hampshire with Consulting Forester Dennis McKenney?
For those folks which might not know, Moody Park is located off of Maple Avenue in the Town of Claremont, New Hampshire. The park underwent a timber cutting logging project during last Winter, which comply with the Town of Claremont's Forest Management Plan. Many folks which live in Claremont have expressed concerns with the current look of the park.
Moody Park Forest Tour Event Claremont Sullivan County New Hampshire, folks here is what one person had to say about the Forest Cutting action which the Town of Claremont decided to take and let be done in Moody Park. The Forest Land clearing in Moody Park is appalling, at best.
Even after a bit of some cleanup, from what I heard and let me add, which had to be done by Volunteers, Moody Park actually looks like the aftermath of a War Zone!!! The road to the summit now requires a half track in-order to safely negotiate the damage which was inflicted by the Logging Company which was hired by the Town to do the cutting.
How could and why did the Town of Claremont ever allowed that type of operation to end-up taking place without imposing some aesthetic stipulations in the agreement between the Town and the Logging Company is mind-boggling to say the least. Moody Park, which has sprawling acreage, could have actually been, or could be with the proper planning in placed, could be an attraction which each and every resident of the Town of Claremont, New Hampshire would be highly proud of.
Those which say they are in charge of and looking out for the Town of Claremont. Like the Mayor and City Manager which both are highly overpaid, will not polish the image of Claremont by destroying Historical Treasures of the Town!!!
The Claremont Conservation Commission has decided to alleviate the concerns of folks by inviting folks to take part in this scheduled guided tour, which the Commission is sponsoring which Conservation Forester Dennis McKenney will be taking folks on. Mr. McKenney will discuss the reason why the certain areas of the Park's 325 acres were cut and also about the future of Moody Park plus how regrowth will occur. This event has been scheduled to begin at 8:30 A.M. Saturday morning.
Folks this event is Free of charge to attend and all Claremont residents sure are encouraged to come to Moody Park to attend. In the case of rain, the rain date has been set for Sunday the Twenty Fourth of August 2014.
It sure would be best to keep in mind this event is being sponsored by the Officials of the Town of Claremont, and more than likely will have its view in the forefront and protected. Don't let any wool be pulled over your eyes, like those in power have done many times to the residents of Claremont!!!
