which sure is going to bring us Ice, Snow and High Winds to come a
calling! Have you started preparing for the worst which the Winter Months

your power happens to go out, don't assume a neighbor has informed the
Power Company which you use. Make sure to go ahead and report your
outage yourself as soon as possible. If you are using Public Service of
New Hampshire which is a Northeast Utilities Company. You can contact
them by calling there Customer Care Center phone number of
1-800-662-7764, if you happen to have a Emergency Backup Generator then you can
contact them by going to its website of psnh.com

if you see that the power has been restored to your neighbors homes,
but your home is still without power, Public Service of New Hampshire
asks that you to please be sure to contact them again.
Take
time to make a list of important phone numbers and prepare an emergency
storm kid to have on hand, which should include Batteries, some Extra
Cash, a Flashlight, Medications plus Non-Perishable Food.
If
you do have an Emergency Generator, for your own safety please be sure
to carefully follow all the operating instructions or if you plan on
having a whole home Generator then its best to have it installed by a
Licensed Electrician.
If your Generator is a pull out gas ran one do
remember, in-order to prevent the risk of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning,
don't ever run a generator inside of an building or near any windows.
Also
folks be a good neighbor! Once you have ensured yours and your family's
safety during a power outage, do take the time to check on the folks
which live nearby you who might have communication, Medical Challenges
or some kind of Physical Challenges. If need be call your Local American
Red Cross Chapter for Assistance or Shelter information for yourself,
family or for your neighbor.

ReplyDeleteDale, Good tips for a winter emergency situation. I was happy to see the CO warning about running a generator in doors. Some folks I think forget and that is so dangerous. Stay safe and warm my friend.
