Folks I know there are a lot of y'all which go out Hiking, Ice Sailing, driving your Snowmobile or Vehicle on upon the Ice on Ponds, Lakes, Rivers around the State of New Hampshire.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department want Hikers, Ice Fishermen, Ice Sailing, Snowmobilers plus all other outdoor enthusiasts to know you need to beware of thin ice upon the bodies of waters around the State. You sure don't want Yourself to end up falling through or having your Snowmobile or Vehicle breaking through the Ice over waterways of New Hampshire.

Folks New Hampshire Conservation Officers are very concerned about your safety and the more seasonable temperatures which are in the forecast for this week might lead folks to feel its okay to start skimming over the waterways of New Hampshire which are covered with some ice and snow.

The thing is folks it might look safe, but folks the ice is very thin and is not at all fully safe as of yet!

The Conservation Department Officials say its going to take many more days and nights of sustained cold in-order for the build up of consistently strong ice of the waterways across the State of New Hampshire.

Folks up in the North Country for example, Conservation Officers have observed large expanses of open water on many different waterways. They say that much of the open water actually can not be seen from the shore or areas in which trails access lakes or river areas. Folks do remember its better to be safe and that there are others which care about you!
