Folks
Newport Board of Selectmen are in the process of looking for a New Town
Manager! The kick off for the search has been scheduled to begin this
Saturday the Seventeenth day of January 2015. There is a meeting
scheduled to be held which the public is extended an invitation to
attend and take an active part in the public meeting to be held in the Town of Newport, New Hampshire!
This
event is a visioning session which has been scheduled to take place in
the Sugar River Bank community room. Those folks which might not know,
the Sugar River Bank main office is located at 10 North Main Street in
the Town of Newport, New Hampshire.
Town Manager Search Public Meeting Town of Newport New Hampshire, folks
the meeting has been scheduled to be held between the hours of 9:00
A.M. and High Noon. The Town's Insurance Carrier, has been scheduled to
facilitate the session. Folks you are invited to both attend and offer
your ideas for fulfilling the Town Manager's Position!
Mr. Paul
Brown who is the current Newport Town Manager announced earlier that he
was going to be stepping down from the position Tuesday the Thirtieth
day of June 2015. Mr. Paul Brown is stepping down in-order to move back
into the Newport Town's Finance Office.
Folks
the meeting has been scheduled to begin with an overview of the
position and followed by an identification exercise which will focus on
the following four main areas:
- What are the critical issues which both the Town of Newport and the New Town Manager will face?
- What could be potential roadblocks of a smooth transition?
- What are essential skills necessary in order to do the job of the Town Manager position?
- What are the behaviors which the Board of Selectmen seeks in its next Town Manager?
- Folks at the end of this meeting the final topic will be on the ideal candidate of to hold the position of Newport Town Manager!

the Sunshine Town of Newport, New Hampshire is the County Seat of
Sullivan County and is a mighty fine small friendly Town which is
nestled in the hills of South Western New Hampshire in the scenic
Connecticut River Valley. The population was listed at being 6,507
Citizens in the 2010 Census. Newport is located next to Sugar River at
the junction of New Hampshire Route 10 and Route 11 Newport also
includes the Villages of Guild and Kelleyville and is conveniently
located between New Hampshire's Interstate 89 and Vermont's Interstate
91.
The
Town of Newport New Hampshire is a Rural Community which is managed by a
Five Member Board of Selectmen and a Town Manager. The folks which
enjoy living in Newport are employed at a variety of Manufacturing,
Professional and Commercial Businesses which are located within a Forty
Mile radius of the Town. Sturm Ruger and Company is the largest employer
in the Town of Newport, New Hampshire, which also has Branches that are
located in Southport, Connecticut and Prescott, Arizona.
