Having this here scheduled meeting title as a Town Hall Meeting sure is a hoot to me at least!

The reason I make that statement has to do with the fact that just last year Mayor James Neilsen, Assistant Mayor Victor Bergeron and City Manager Guy A. Santagate all three threw a big fit over the Charter Commission proposing to change how Claremont is governed.

The Charter Commission Committee recommended that Claremont would be best served with a Town Government of a Strong Mayor and bring back committees which would guide the Mayor on the matters of Finance, Public Works and Pubic Safety from of Government, which would have actually saved Claremont a good amount of money by doing so.

The above would have changed Claremont from a City Manager and City Council form of Government, which is what the majority of the residents of Claremont wanted. They made sure the residents of Claremont did not get to vote on the actual recommended proposal which was made.

  2. Howdy and afternoon Bob my friend, Local and National Politicians sure do only think about themselves! Once they are either Elected or Re-elected back into office, they totally forget that its the people which Elected them! The things which we would like to have happen are flushed right down the toilet by them!
