Folks when the last owners which who were Dick and Nancy Stewart, which owned and operated the Acworth Village Store for Fifteen years, were unable to keep the store going, community members came together in-order to find ways to save this Historic Building and to also maintain the store. Shortly after the Acworth Historical Society was able to secure a Land and Community Heritage Investment Program grant back in March of 2002 in-order to purchase the Acworth Village Store.

The small core group of folks which were interested in saving this Village Store quickly expanded and mighty fine volunteers offered their services in-order to make the structural improvements which were needed to bring the formerly decaying Historic Structure up to code.

The store is now independent of the Acworth Historical Society and is operated as a profit making community business ran by a board of directors along with volunteers which offer their time to make this community store to be a successful endeavor.

By attending this Swill, Swine and Swing Benefit Event you'll be part of helping this benefit fundraiser event to be a big success!!! Come on out to have a mighty fine time at a family friendly event!
